I wrote a program that replaces each pixel of a video with the memory address where that pixel is stored. The hexadecimal address is then colored according to the pixel value stored there.

The videos it plays are home movie footage taken by my father when my sisters and I were children. This piece is about computer memory, human memory, and the relationship between the two.

I chose to program this piece in C and Max. By allowing code to be expressed as graphical relationships, Max serves as a programming environment and a visualization of that program's structure. This project required that I write original code in C in order to extend Max's capabilities.
